Product Description
FX Spellbound is an interior, water-based tintable finish. It has a subtle, shimmering appearance. A hardwearing and washable liquid paste, especially manufactured for producing spectacular, creative finishes. Can be applied clear to give a shimmering effect on a white or tinted base colour.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of all loose dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss surfaces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Then apply FX Sealer Undercoat as required. Ensure surfaces are properly prepared and smooth.
Application
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer using an upward action. Brush/Roller: Tint undercoat as close as possible to chosen colour. FX Australia recommends you use a satin paint as a base coat to increase workability. Apply the first coat of FX Spellbound by roller. Ensure the roller is very soft and between12mm-18mm. The second coat is applied by a 100mm brush. Brush strokes can be criss cross, basket weave etc. Experiment with different strokes. It is important to keep a wet edge at all times. To slow down drying time add approximately 10% of FX Scumble.
Conventional Spray: Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment. For best finish and coverage on moulded & flat surfaces, use a spray gun. Ensure the FX Spellbound coat is completely dry before adding next application.
