Australia Tips & Hints
The FX Australia Wash Range
The Wash Range of products are flat finishes, which are perfect
for walls with slight imperfections.
When
using a cheesecloth for ragging ensure the cloth is damp. If bubbles
appear on the surface during application this means your cloth contains
an excessive amount of water.
When
using FX Australia Lime Wash roll on the first coat and brush on
the second coat using a wide brush. For additional effect wait until
the second coat is dry then use a small amount of product and randomly
brush over the surface area.
The
FX Australia Metallic Range
For
ease of application ensure your base coat is a satin acrylic. Tint
the base coat to match your chosen colour for better coverage.
Remember
a metallic product is satin or gloss in sheen hence it will show
any imperfections more profoundly. Check wall conditions before
using a metallic product.
For
something different brush one coat of the FX Metallic and allow
to dry. Then brush on another FX Metallic (different colour) and
use a plastic bag or chamois to achieve a dramatic effect.
The
FX Australia Stucco and Textured Range
It is
most important to use a professional applicator to achieve the best
results when choosing a stucco or textured product.
Always
use a stainless steel stucco trowel/spatula.
Never
apply stucco wax using a rag.
Ensure
each coat is applied smoothly. Any lumps or bumps will be hard to
rectify later.
The
FX Australia Pearl & Glaze Range
When
using FX Glazes for marbling use an angle brush to achieve veins.
Do not complicate the finish by using too many colours or veins.
Simple is always best!
FX Australia
Tintable Pearl looks good on doors as well as walls.
