Product Description
FX Travertino is an interior and exterior product producing a natural travertine stone finish. This product may be applied by Stucco trowel, brush, roller or mit, depending on the desired effect.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of all loose dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Ensure surfaces are as smooth & clean as possible to ensure best finish. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss surfaces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Then apply FX Stucco Undercoat as required.
Application
FX Travertino is white based but can be further tinted to achieve a variation in colour.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer using an upward action, or preferably use a power driven mixing paddle.
Trowel FX Travertino evenly over your prepared surface. Before the FX Travertino is dry, use a damp sponge in a circular motion over the finish to create ‘pockets’, then run a clean trowel over the surface. When your surface is dry use a 150 grade sandpaper pad to smooth the finish. Next use a 180 sandpaper pad to polish, then glide your trowel over the finished surface. Apply FX Wicked Wax (clear) evenly over the finish, using a clean white cloth. Next buff and polish your finish with a lamb’s wool buffer. FX Australia recommends an experienced applicator for a trowel finish
