FX Australia® Product Information
FX Super Easy Concrete – DIY Industrial Look Finishes
FX Super Easy Concrete is made for DIY home-renovators. NO PROFESSIONAL REQUIRED! It is a superior, acrylic paint finish. Its depth and movement mimic classic Venetian Plaster to give a subtle, undulated colour-effect. The coating dries to a matte finish; can be trowel-polished to a satin finish; or sandpapered to a high sheen, creating a perfect backdrop for both classic and industrial design concepts.
Many varying effects
Ease of application
FX Super Easy Concrete can be used on most interior surfaces such as plaster, plasterboard and cement render or sound, previously painted surfaces.
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss surfaces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Then apply FX Max Solar Superprep or FX Stucco Undercoats required. For best results, surfaces should be well prepared and smooth.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad, flat stirrer using an upward action, or ideally use
a power-driven mixing paddle.
Trowel: Requires 2–3 coats applied with a brush or roller and a stainless-steel stucco trowel. Different sized trowels give different finishes.
Step 1: Brush or roll product onto the pre-prepared surface then while the product is still wet, move a trowel smoothly and evenly over the surface to create a pattern. The trowel is held at an approximate 45-degree angle to the surface during application. Allow to dry for 3-6 hours.
Step 2: Repeat the application process as STEP 1 with added pressure applied to the trowel during trowelling to create a distinctly stucco look and a higher sheen. Allow to dry for 3-6 hours. Leave the finish as completed or polish with an ultra-fine sanding block.
Clear Coating: Generally, not required. For hardwearing areas or to achieve water resistance, apply a coating of clear FX Wicked Wax® by trowel.
Approximate Spreading Rate:
8–10 square metres per litre, depending on application techniqueand surface roughness.
Approximate Film Thickness per coat:
Wet: 200 Microns; Dry: 100 Microns.
Refer to colour chart for tinting specifications.
Stainless steel stucco trowel.
Drying Times (at 25 °C): Touch: 2 Hours; Recoat: 6 Hours.
Clean-up: Water. Safety: Dust Mask. Gloss Level: N/A.
Note: Do not apply paint if the air temperature or substrate temperature is below 10 °C or above 35 °C. The temperature should not fall below 10 °C during the drying process.
