FX Australia® Product Information
FX Isolare® is a high-performance exterior insulation membrane coating that incorporates the latest cutting-edge resins and nano-pigment technology. By deflecting the sun's heat in summer, but helping to contain the warmth inside your home in winter, FX Isolare® optimises natural climate control to reduce power costs and maintain year-round comfort. This coating is VOC-reduced*, to safeguard your environment.

FX Isolare® is ideal for pre-painted or unpainted surfaces such as metal roofing, terracotta roof tiles and cement roof tiles.
Note: This product is not suited for use over glazed roof tiles.
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Then apply the appropriate sealer or undercoat as required.
Important note: Unpainted surfaces require one coat of FX Penetrating Sealer before applying FX Isolare®. Metal roofing requires one coat of FX Get Metal® Primer and other painted substrates require one coat of FX Membrane Undercoat before applying FX Isolare®.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad, flat stirrer, using an upward action.
Apply FX Isolare® with a 75mm-100mm brush or a medium nap roller.
Suitable for application using all standard spray equipment. FX Australia recommends using a 19thou.-25thou. tip for spraying. Tip size will vary depending on speed of flow required. Up to 10% water per litre may be added to aid atomisation.
Approximate Spreading Rate:
2 square meters per litre (spray application), depending on application technique and surface roughness.
Approximate Film Thickness per coat:
Wet: 500 Microns; Dry: 250 Microns.
Important not: to achieve the maximum performance of FX Isolare®, ensure the finished application coat is 500 microns when dry.
Water, 10% if required.
Refer to colour chart for tinting specifications.
Brush, roller or airless/comventional spray equipment.
Drying Times (at 25 °C): Touch: (at 25 °C): Touch: 40 minutes; Recoat: 4-8 Hours.
Clean-up: Water. Safety: Dust Mask. Gloss Level: Less than 20%-30% at a 60° viewing angle.
Note: Do not apply paint if the air temperature or substrate temperature is below 10 °C or above 35 °C. The temperature should not fall below 10 °C during the drying process.
*VOC-reduced: VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) are chemical compounds that vaporise and enter the air, contributing to inside and outside air pollution.
Safety and environmental care
Wear eye protection and dust mask when spraying, as splashes may cause eye irritation and inhalation of spray mist may cause respiratory irritation.
Asbestos cement sheeting:
Do not disturb, sand or scrub, and avoid any peripheral dust. If you do not have professional expertise in the handling/removal of asbestos sheeting, use a licensed asbestos removalist.

Slippery when spilled·
Restrict access to area until clean-up is completed · When cleaning up spills, use personal protection equipment · Stop leak if safe to do so and contain spill with absorbent material such as sand, vermiculite or other inert material · Prevent spill from entering waterways · Collect and dispose of spilled material according to local regulations · Wash away remnants with liberal amounts of cold water.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight · Store away from strong acids and moisture · Keep containers closed at all times and check regularly for spills.
Refer to State/Territory Land Waste Management Authority: most authorities permit disposal at approved land waste sites.
