Uses

FX Stone is a premium product, producing many different special effects on all sealed surfaces such as plaster, plasterboard, and rendered walls.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss surfaces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Then apply FX Lemon Tree Creek® Sealer Undercoat as required.

Application

FX Stone is a pre-tinted product but can be further tinted to various colours.

Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad, flat stirrer, using an upward action, or ideally use a power-driven mixing paddle.

Trowel:

Apply first coat with a stainless steel stucco trowel, as smoothly as possible. Different sized trowels will create different finishes. Apply second coat using the same method after the first coat has dried for 12 hours.

Other application methods: FX Stone can also be applied by brush, roller or mitt to achieve different finishes. These methods require dilution with water. FX Australia suggests 100 ml to 200 ml water to 1 litre of FX Stone.
