FX Zing™ produces a variety of special effects on interior surfaces such as plaster, plasterboard, iron, cement, trims, doors, furniture and timber.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss surfaces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Best results are achieved when surfaces are properly prepared and smooth.

Apply FX Lemon Tree Creek® Sealer Undercoat as required. Then for ease of application, apply a base coat of FX Lemon Tree Creek® Semi-Gloss, tinted as closely as possible to selected FX Zing™ colour.

Application

Stir contents thoroughly before use with a broad, flat stirrer, using an upward action.

Brush/Roller:

Use a 100 mm roller, not a brush, on areas to be ‘cut in’. Apply the first coat by roller after ‘cutting in’.

Ensure the roller is very soft with nap between 12 mm– 20 mm. The second coat may be applied by roller or a 100 mm brush, using a criss-cross motion. Different textures and effects may be achieved using a sponge, spatula or spray

Ensure the first coat is completely dry before applying the next coat.

Note: Keep a wet edge at all times.

Note: To slow down the drying time for large or complicated areas, add approximately 10% of FX Scumble.
