FX Rust Paint
Watching paint dry never seemed so interesting!

The FX Rust Paint system is a two-phase system that produces authentic, aged rust effects. It replicates the colours and unusual textures of metal weathered by nature and can be used to add impact in large outdoor and indoor areas, or revive decorative sculptures and pots.
Note: Rust finishes vary and the final effect will depend on application methods and environmental factors.
Creating a faux sandstone finish using FX Travertino®
Step 1
Using a stainless steel stucco trowel,
apply FX Travertino® evenly over prepared surface.
Step 2
While wet, overlay additional coloured FX Travertino® to achieve an authentic sandstone finish.
Step 3
Before the FX Travertino® is dry, use a damp sponge or FX Travertino® tool in a free-hand motion over the finish to create ‘pockets’.
Step 5
When surface is dry, use a 150-grade sandpaper pad to smooth the finish. Next, use a 180-grade sandpaper pad to polish, then glide trowel over the finished surface.
Step 4
Then run a clean trowel over the surface.
Step 6
For interior use only, apply FX Wicked Wax® Clear evenly over the finish, using a clean white cloth. Finally, buff and polish finish with a lamb’s wool buffer. Alternatively, apply one coat FX Clear or FX Super Matt Clear for exterior.
